A preliminary investigation of yoga as an intervention approach for improving long-term weight loss: A randomized trial

A randomized pilot study by Jessica L Unick and team from The Miriam Hospital, Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University, Brown University School of Public Health, University of Pittsburgh, and Pennington Biomedical Research Center explored whether Iyengar yoga could support weight-loss maintenance after a behavioral weight-loss program. The findings suggest that yoga’s potential benefits may depend on how much weight participants initially lost.
